Mary Macdougall

Bio

Mary Macdougall earned her Graduate Nursing Diploma (Reg. N) from Mohawk College in 1984 and her BScN from McMaster University in 1990. In 1995, after completing her MHSc at McMaster University, Mary joined the Women’s Health Concerns Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, as a Research Nurse.

Mary is currently an Assistant Professor (Part Time) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University, a Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Mature Women’s Health Program at the Centre for Ambulatory Health Services and the RN Associate Member of the Women’s Health Policy Committee, SOGC. She has a Menopause Educator designation from the North American Menopause Society

Awards

  • 2002 Excellence in Teaching Award at McMaster University.
  • 2007 ‘Leading Practices’ Award from the Editorial Board of Healthcare Quarterly and the Educational Services of the Ontario Hospital Association.
  • OHA HealthAchieve 2007 for the Project “Addressing the Healthcare Needs of Immigrant Women.”
