My mission, as always, is to elevate our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster to among the leading academic programs in Canada. 2015 has been a remarkably successful year. The R.T Weaver research day presentations were such a high quality that the judges had great difficulty choosing the award winning papers.
I hope that everyone is making the most of this spectacular summer season. After this year’s winter we deserve it!
My goal, as always, continues to be working to elevate our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University to be among the leading academic programs in Canada.
We have just completed another very successful academic year. All of our PGY 5’s successfully passed the Royal College examinations and have moved onto the next phase of their careers. All of our faculty can take great pride in having contributed to the development of these skilled and competent specialists who will be the next generation of providers of superlative care to women and their families.
As we begin to thaw ourselves out from the incredibly cold winter we have experienced this year, we can take the opportunity to pause and reflect on the many accomplishments of our faculty, trainees and our staff.
We are continuing to increase our impact in the international research community in women’s health (please refer to the ‘Research News’ section of the Ob/Gyn Connection).
Our selection process for the best and the brightest incoming residents was very successful and we look forward to welcoming our newest cohort of trainees in July (list of new residents under Postgraduate News).
