As we approach the end of 2016 we should all take the opportunity to pause and reflect upon our great fortune to live in a country such as Canada. We are truly blessed to live in a stable, peaceful country when many others around the world are considerably less fortunate.

Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster has continued to become among the leading academic programs in Canada. 2016 is shaping up to be a remarkably successful year for our academic program. All of our senior residents were successful in passing their Royal College examinations! Congratulations to Dr. Esther Chin, Dr. Gillian Dharmai, Dr. Kelly Donovan, Dr. Sandra Gregorovich, Dr. Jessica Liauw and Dr. May Sanaee.
The ongoing disruption of the relationship between the Ontario government and the OMA has continued to pose challenges for those involved in clinical care within the academic and community setting. With no end in sight we struggle to continue to provide care with these additional challenges and continue to endeavour in achieving our academic goals.
